Fragrance line: Oriental Woody Oud Essentiel was launched by Guerlain in 2017 It is a woody and leathery fragrance for men and women. Oud Essentiel, meaning the ideal or original oud, is the third fragrance in Guerlain’s Orient’D Absolus Les Concentrates collection designed to satisfy the taste and requirements of the Middle Eastern audience. It began with Royal Santal in 2014 and was followed by Eternel Ambre in 2016. Oud Essentiel was created by Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser, who was inspired by the unique and precious oud wood. The fragrance is considered a majestic celebration of this rare ingredient, revealing its true power and sensual effect. Thierry Wasser describes the fragrance as luxurious, seductive and charismatic, combining delicacy, joy and intensity, and also bringing together East and West. Oud Essence perfume consists of the scent of leather represented by saffron and the leather note with flowers, which are Bulgarian rose and pelargonium, also called pink geranium, with oud wood, cedar and guaiac, in addition to the mysterious oriental atmosphere of frankincense.
